Reopening a Case

Reopening a bankruptcy case requires a motion and order.  The ECF event is: Bankruptcy Events>Motions/Applications>Reopen Case Chapter__(fee).  For uploading the related order, use: Bankruptcy Events>Order Upload

• Reopening a case requires payment of a reopening fee.

• Reopening due to failure to file a Financial Management Court Certificate? No hearing is required. File the missing certificate prior to filing the motion to reopen.

• A case does not need to be reopened solely for the purpose of moving to redact a previously filed document
