The US Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Washington has implemented an opinion search feature called CourtWeb. CourtWeb is a program developed by the federal judiciary and is currently being hosted by the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Pennsylvania.

CourtWeb provides free access to Judges' written opinions. No login is required. CourtWeb allows attorneys to conduct a text search across all participating districts' opinions, much like a Westlaw or Lexis search, and to download court opinions in PDF format.

When a ruling is posted to CourtWeb, the description that appears will typically include the caption, case number, date, judge's name, a brief summary of the ruling and the link to the full text of the document. This is a tremendous advantage over the opinions posted on the court's website where counsel can only search within a single opinion.

Opinions dating back to 2005 are available on CourtWeb. Opinions will continue to be posted to this court's website and attorneys who have registered for email notification of their posting will continue to receive notification.
