U.S. Bankruptcy Court, W.D. Washington

OTCnet Program Check Capture Legal Notice

Starting March 24, 2021, the Clerk’s office of the United States Bankruptcy Court, W.D. Washington, will be participating in OTCnet, a program of the U.S. Treasury. OTCnet will allow the Clerk’s office to expedite the settlement of collection of checks that are received by mail, in the drop box, or at the front counter.* Checks are converted to Automated Clearing House (ACH) debit entries or processed as substitute checks.

This legal notification is required by the U.S. Treasury, and does not alter the type or nature of payments that are accepted by the Clerk’s office.  Debtors, including corporate debtors, must pay filing fees by online payment, money order, cashier's check. Personal checks or Bill Payer checks (checks issued by your bank through an electronic bill payment agreement) are not accepted from debtors. Attorneys are required to make case-related payments electronically.
