The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Washington is a federal court serving the area west of the Cascade Mountains from Oregon to the Canadian border. The district has courthouses in Seattle and Tacoma.

On February 4, 2019, the Court implemented a new version of the Case Management/Electronic Case Filing System (CM/ECF). The new system is called "NextGen". Electronic filers must link their existing CM/ECF account to their upgraded PACER account in order to file in NextGen. This one-time process can only be completed once the Court is live on NextGen. Click here for linking instructions.

NextGen simplifies electronic filing by combining CM/ECF and PACER accounts, enabling filers to use one login and password to electronically file in all NextGen courts where they have been granted permission to file. For information and resources regarding NextGen, click here.
