Court Mediation Program Hosts Successful Program on Understanding and Handling Implicit Bias

The Bankruptcy Court’s Thomas T. Glover Mediation Program recently hosted a successful seminar focused on improving the understanding and management of implicit bias in mediation and arbitration. Many thanks to the distinguished jurists who served on the panel, sharing a wealth of experience in alternative dispute resolution: U.S. District Court Chief Magistrate Brian A. Tsuchida, U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Mary Jo Heston, trial lawyer Craig Sims of counsel with Schroeter Goldmark Bender, and Kathleen Wareham, WAMS mediator/arbitrator.

The Thomas T. Glover Mediation Program was established in 2012 and provides voluntary mediation services in bankruptcy cases and adversary proceedings.The Program's panel of trained mediators are available to serve in cases throughout the Western District of Washington.
