Getting Started with CM/ECF

Admission and Registration

  • Attorney Admissions
    Attorneys must apply for admission to Western District of Washington District Court before registering to e-file with the Western District of Washington Bankruptcy Court ("Court").
  • For Attorneys
    Here you will find information relevant to you and your business with the Court.
  • Registration (Your Account)
    Attorneys must register in CM/ECF before they can begin e-filing or receive e-service notifications.  Other entities may also register for CM/ECF e-filing access. Depending on their role, filers may be issued a CM/ECF account with varying levels of privileges (i.e. full attorney account vs. limited-use account).

 

Procedures and Rules

  • Electronic Filing Procedures
    Filers must be familiar with and abide by the Administrative Procedures and Technical Requirements for Electronic Filing (“Electronic Filing Procedures”) when filing with the Court.
  • Local Bankruptcy Rules and General Orders
    E-filers and traditional filers must be familiar with and comply with the Local Bankruptcy Rules and General Orders when filing with the Court.
  • Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure
    E-filers and traditional filers must be familiar with and comply with the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure when filing with the Court.
  • Chambers Procedures
    Provides filing, calendaring, and hearing information specific to each Chambers in the Court.
