The Court's procedure for redaction in electronically filed transcripts, which applies when a transcript is filed on the court's electronic docket, is set forth in General Order 2008-3.  Additional information is available at the bottom of this page. 

TO ORDER A TRANSCRIPT OF A COURT HEARING

Contact one of the approved transcription agencies listed below and provide the following information:

1) Case name and number.
2) Hearing date and time.
3) Judge’s name.
4) Ordering attorney’s name and whom they represent.
5) Whether you’d like the argument and ruling or just the ruling.
6) Whether the transcript is in connection with an appeal.

NOTE: You do not need to request an audio hearing from the court when requesting a transcript -- The transcription agency will contact the court for a digital audio recording of your request.

To be considered as an Approved Transcription Agency, you may apply via email and provide the following: firm name and location, names of transcribers and their certification level, and a list of federal courts where you are authorized to provide transcripts.
