Join us for the 2026 Bench Bar Events: March 25 (Tacoma) and March 26 (Seattle)
The Bankruptcy Court for the W. D. Washington is hosting two bench bar events later this month: March 25 in Tacoma and March 26 in Seattle. Each program will start at 2:30 pm and will be followed by a reception. The content will be the same at both programs; please join whichever event is most convenient for you.
The afternoon will feature a presentation by Dr. Debra Glassman, Teaching Professor of Finance and Business Economics at the University of Washington, Foster School of Business. Dr. Glassman will discuss the state of the economy, including the impact of tariffs and interest rates, followed by a Q&A session. There will also be a brief presentation of the 2025 amendments to national bankruptcy rules and forms, including the new chapter 13 mortgage forms, followed by a conversation with local bankruptcy judges Alston, Dore and Heston, moderated by attorney Aditi Paranjpye.
The Seattle event will be held in the Courthouse at 700 Stewart on the 19th floor. The Tacoma event will be held at Tacoma Union Station, in the Jury Assembly Room.
This event will be in-person only. No RSVP or registration necessary. CLE credits pending.
