The Thomas T. Glover Mediation Program Presents: The Nuts and Bolts of Mediation - Including Ethical Considerations

Are you curious about the mechanics of mediation? New to practicing law and wondering about how to raise the topic of mediation with your client or opposing counsel? Questions about how to select a mediator and how the mediation conference works? Or maybe you’re an experienced practitioner who could use some pointers. And what about the ethical concerns that come up in a mediation?

The W.D. WA Bankruptcy Court’s Thomas T. Glover Mediation Program invites you to a program focused on the nuts and bolts of mediating disputes in bankruptcy cases and adversary proceedings. Thomas Neeleman, Katherine Culberson, and Jay Kornfeld are featured on a panel discussion of mediation basics including selecting a mediator, guiding your client through a mediation, and practical tips for reaching a resolution. The second part of the program will feature Aditi Paranjpye and Thomas Buford in a discussion of the ethical issues that arise in connection with mediation.

When: May 11, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. A social hour will follow the program.

Where: United States Courthouse, 700 Stewart Street, 19th Floor, Seattle

Cost: Free; Earn 2.0 CLE credits, includes 1.0 ethics credit (PENDING)
