Release Date:
Thu, 02/27/2020

The Local Bankruptcy Rules Committee (“LBR Committee”) is typically reactivated and reconstituted every few years to review and improve this District’s local rules. The LBR Committee is currently chaired by Judge Dore and is otherwise made up primarily of lawyers with an active bankruptcy practice in this District.

The LBR Committee will be active in 2020 and is seeking volunteers. If you would like to be considered for membership on the 2020 LBR Committee, please so indicate in an email to LBRcomments@wawb.uscourts.gov by March 20, 2020. In selecting members, the Court strives to achieve practice area and geographic diversity. Accordingly, please include in your email the primary focus of your bankruptcy work (e.g. debtor, creditor, trustee, commercial, consumer) and the primary geographic location within this District where you practice.

The LBR Committee also seeks suggestions for improvement to this District’s local rules. Regardless of whether you are interested in membership on the 2020 LBR Committee, you may submit rule suggestions in an email to LBRcomments@wawb.uscourts.gov by March 27, 2020.
