National Rules and Forms Amended Effective December 1, 2025
The following national amended rules and new and amended national bankruptcy forms are scheduled to take effect December 1, 2025.
- Appellate Rules 6 and 39;
- Bankruptcy Rules 3002.1 and 8006;
- Civil Rules 16, 26, and new Rule 16.1.

New docket events have been created in CM/ECF to accommodate Official Forms 410C13-M1 through M2R (pertaining to mortgage payments in Chapter 13 cases). These new events will be available in CM/ECF on December 1, 2025.
The new national form motions are inconsistent with the local formatting requirements of LBR 9013-1(d)(1). Counsel are advised to use the national form motions; however, the form motions must be accompanied with a notice of motion as required by LBR 9013-1(c) and a proposed form of order as required by LBR 9013-1(d)(1)(D).
There are no changes to the W. D. Washington Bankruptcy Court Local Bankruptcy Rules or Local Bankruptcy Forms at this time.
