Clerk’s Office Intake Counter Reopening and Elimination of Cash Payments

Effective March 1, 2022, the Bankruptcy Clerk’s Office intake counters will reopen to serve the public in the Tacoma and Seattle courthouses. The counter is staffed Monday through Friday during business hours: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. Clerk’s office staff can also be reached by phone, ECF Help and Live Chat.

Also effective March 1, 2022, the Clerk’s office will no longer accept cash as payment for filing fees or other transactions. The public computer terminals in the Clerk’s Office lobby are available to process on-line electronic payments via debit card, PayPal, or ACH (electronic payment from a bank account). Payment can also be made by cashier's check or money order made payable to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. Personal checks, bill pay checks, and credit cards cannot be accepted from debtors or debtors in possession.
