Various amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure become effective today, December 1, 2020. A comprehensive list of all federal rule changes can be found on the U.S. Courts website.

The rule amendments resulted in minor changes to national bankruptcy forms; practitioners are encouraged to make sure their petition preparation software is up to date.

The Judicial Conference for the United States approved certain inflationary increases to the Bankruptcy Miscellaneous Fee Schedule that also go into effect on December 1, 2020. The updated fees are available on this website.
